When Nothing Goes Right, It's A Sign To Begin Using Your Creative Power

March 20, 2018 0

When you can answer to, where is my life going, by understanding and accepting your creative true power, even when it seems that, nothing goes right, you're opening the door for success in life. By having these ideas of a prosperous life we are able to live positive lives.
If we stay in self-doubt and other wrong-minded ego-based thoughts based on fear, doubt, and judgement and the like, those negative things, our dreams will never ever happen.
Our goals and objectives will be unlikely accomplished.
As individuals seeking a prosperous life, we ought to utilize our talents not only to recover ourselves and those around us, but also humankind as a whole.
Because alignment reinforces our ideas making us understand that we have a full and real potential within us to do more in our life.
You need to confess that words have different meanings and reflections for each individual.
For some abundance and prosperity suggests more cash and wealth while some may see it as success in business or in one's profession.
Naturally answering to, where is my life going, might be in the definition of having a loving household and a caring marital relationship.
It simply goes to reveal that it does not constantly mean material things.
Due to the fact that your creative power of magnificent heart and mind, is most likely one of the things that make you remarkable amongst the other species in the planet.
Yes, I mean we all simply need to tap into this creative power and utilize it so we might be able to meet and even discover a wonderful life of purpose and passion.
What are peace, love and money?
- Such things are energies that we see as truth.
- However such a belief is not pointed in just one instruction.
When your creative power is universal you can use that power to transform exactly what is taking place around you.
Something we have to remember when contemplating, where is my life going, is that there are principles that govern abundance.
Seasons come and go and in spite of everything, we are just unlimited beings. This is why we must strive for the highest excellent and hang on to things that we're passionate about.
When we feel that things are going in a wrong direction, and we're asking, where is my life going, this is the time that we need to reflect if the important things that are considered to be important, hold the same concern as they did before.
This must be surrendered and then changed to a favorable "right-minded" thought process, as the Course in Miracles terms, so we may produce something better if they do not.
In essence, we let go of the old to make space for the brand-new.
I've seen where some people use the idea of Prosperity and Abundance checks to attract more money.
Writing an Abundance Check
- An abundance check is simply a tool that can help you improve any area of your life.
- It can be a powerful idea to write a check of abundance and then let the Universe take care of the rest!
You could write down an amount that you feel comfortable with if you want to give it a shot. It is all about practice and feeling comfortable as you write abundance checks.
Needless to say, if you want more money (assuming you have little or no resistance), it can be useful to write down the exact amount on your abundance check.
If that's all you do.
In a previous session I discussed how to become successful in life fast by aligning to the Law of Manifestation
It was agreed you know you should be writing and creating more if you want to build an audience. You know you should be selling more if you want to make more money.
It is all about practice and feeling comfortable as you write abundance checks.
I know of a woman who practiced a similar approach by writing a letter to the universe, telling the universe what she was out to accomplish and needed help with the necessary resources.
She addressed it to the universe, put a postage stamp on it (with no return address) and put it in the mail box.
Needless to say, if you want more money (assuming you have little or no resistance), it can be useful to write down exactly what you need and then allow for the power of your subconscious to get to work on it.
- The power of the universe is within you!
- The problem is not knowledge.
You either have all the knowledge you need, or can have immediate access to that knowledge when you're mulling over thoughts like; where is my life going?
The Course in Miracles states, "Knowledge can be restored only when you meet its conditions. This is not a bargain made by God, Who makes no bargains."
The magnetic repulsion you feel keeps you from doing what you know you should be doing, already. And in order to win this war against yourself, you must first know your enemy.
Course in Miracles further states, "Knowledge is God's (the Universe) Will. If you are opposing His Will, how can you have knowledge?"
How do you begin this journey?
When you are properly aligned within you, to the core of who you are, you will always 'KNOW' what to do next.
By producing a list of exactly what is essential in your life, examining each one and after that finding out which of these have to go.
It is best to take notice of how you feel about that list and after that only keep what is worth to help you toward your passion.
This is likely the most fundamental part of any level of success in life.
Begin undergoing a 21 day cleansing process on how you think and on how you've been taking action on your objectives and goals if you're really serious.
Beyond that point, you can proceed with your life due to the fact that a prosperous life can be achieved by using your creative power as your guide.
So, what to do next?
When it seems nothing goes right, or you are questioning, where is my life going, look at the thoughts that may need some more cleansing, due to the fact that this is not something you neglect.
Remember, when we feel that nothing goes right, or things are not going our way, this is the time that we should reflect inwardly about, "What to leave in and what to leave out," as suggested in classic hit song, 'Against the Wind.'
Always be reviewing your list of what is important in your life and closely examining each item, and then take action on what you need to do next.
( Please note, I also suggest searching the net for helpful material on how to manifest money now with miracle minded secrets of perhaps, say, a millionaire mindset. Why not?)
To happiness and success in life!

Why The Fear Of Success Is Nonsense - It's The Fear Of Hard Work That Frightens People Most

March 11, 2018 0

Is The Fear Of Success Is Real?

I might risk alienating some people in this article, possibly offending others. However, if it means forcing you to think about the topic differently, I will have done my job to serve you.

Is fear of success real?
Is it possible to have a fear of: wealth, recognition, serving others, playing bigger, impacting humanity and having your work serve a wider audience?
Fear of success, I call nonsense.
I've never heard of someone being diagnosed by therapist with fear of success syndrome, notwithstanding those who experience trauma or some form of PTSD. There is always something else lurking beneath the surface. It requires deeper investigation to uncover what the hidden fears are.
Fear of success is a disguise because it convinces you success is possible.
It is not. It is never within reach.
Even at the last minute, circumstances can change at the drop of a hat.
You can toil away for years and not strike upon success while other people strike it lucky within a few months or years. They will tell you how they followed a specific formula that ensured their success.
There isn't a formula that will ensure success because the term means something different to you and me.
The same formula that worked for them may not work for you and millions of others. That's why online courses that guarantee results seldom work. You need to get close-up with the individual to serve their needs if they want to succeed.
Why would anyone fear the very thing they want so much?
The very thing they put their lives on hold for?
The very thing for which they sacrifice their: health, family and personal relationships?
I get that you can fear the trappings of success if it happens quickly, yet for many this isn't something to worry about because not everyone will experience success like J. K. Rowling.
I don't understand why the fear of success is real. Am I naïve to think that success will be handed to a person overnight if they follow the rules and work hard?
Come on, surely we know by now there is no such thing as an overnight success. Those who are ascribed this label have been toiling away at their skill from many years, maybe even decades.
Success Is Guaranteed To No One
Countless people come to mind who pursued their careers until they achieved success. You can't apply a formula to success because in the hands of the wrong person, success is like handing the lottery to someone with poor money management skills.
I appreciate the idea of replicating your mentors to achieve success. Yet, some people starting out will experience a different result because there are many unknown factors that contribute to success.
For this reason, I believe fear of success is really the fear of hard work. It is what author Steven Pressfield calls resistance that stops many from achieving their finest work. Here resistance holds the individual back from writing the first draft of a book they've been wanting to pen for years.
Resistance stops you sitting down to hone your craft or focus on deliberate practice to fine tuning your motor skills.
Jeff Olson says in The Slight Edge that taking action can be easy or hard, it depends on your outlook: "Here's the problem: every action that is easy to do, is also easy not to do."
A client whom I working with recently shared a photo posted outside her young son's classroom that read: "Why can't I skip my 20 minutes of reading tonight?"
A 'C' student who reads one minute each day, equates to 180 minutes in a school year. This is the equivalent of 8,000 words per year or the 10th percentile on standardised tests.
A 'B' student who reads five minutes each day, equates to 900 minutes in a school year. This is the equivalent of 282,000 words per year or the 50th percentile on standardised tests.
An 'A' student who reads 20 minutes each day equates to 3,600 minutes in a school year. This is the equivalent of 1,800,000 words per year or the 90th percentile on standardised tests.
By the end of sixth-grade an 'A' student will have read the equivalent of 60 whole school days. A 'B' student will have read only 12 school days. Which student would you expect to have a better vocabulary? Which student would you expect to be more successful in school and in life?

Fear of success or fear of hard work you say?

Hard work and persistence is something children are made aware of at a young age, for they are taught that nothing comes easy. It becomes clear as they pass from year to year some of their schoolmates earn lower grades while others excel.
Hard work requires commitment, dedication and perseverance and if you have satisfied all these requirements, there's still no guarantee the pot of gold awaits you.
Hard work is terrifying because it means putting your heart and soul on the line with little or no success guaranteed. It requires discipline, a tenacious will and determination to become a student of knowledge, skill and wisdom
Hard work is not for everyone and only a few become successful because they are willing to dedicate themselves to their skill. They are willing to become the best instead of mediocre skill and talent.
Pursue Excellence And Success Will Follow
The same principle I described earlier to students applies to many other areas such as sports, music and the creative fields. For example, there's no such thing as a child prodigy violinist. Behind every genius is a student who practices 7-8 hours a day with the right mentors and teachers to guide their musical career.
You cannot leave success to chance. It must be nurtured and cultivated and given your undivided attention. You must greet it with humility and respect because like the wind, it can turn at a moment's notice and go in search of someone else who will create the right environment for it to flourish.
"Bear in mind though, that there is a difference between demanding success and just merely wishing for it. You should find out what this difference is, and take advantage of it," writes Napoleon Hill in The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons.
Success is fickle.
Success is an antagonist.
It will serve you if you oblige it through hard work and labouring away day in day out, month in month out, year in year out. Success is not something to be pursued, but is awarded you as a result of hard work, grit and dedication.
The message is clear according to author Brendon Burchard who writes in High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way: "Be more intentional about who you want to become. Have vision beyond your current circumstances. Imagine your best future self, and start acting like that person today."
If you want success, put in the hard work.
If you want success, pursue excellence.
If you want success, dedicate yourself to your life's task.
If you want success, stop making excuses why it hasn't showed up and do the work to draw it closer to you.
If you want success, stop playing small and create impeccable value for others.
Put their needs first before yours. Serve them in the best way possible without wanting anything in return. Do it for the love of the game. The love of your passion.
If you want success, make a commitment and never give up until your hard work is rewarded for the years of putting your heart and soul on the line.
The hard work will accompany you as you realise your greatest potential and persevere in the face of unwelcoming circumstances.

Are You Or Someone You Love Struggling With Anxiety?

February 15, 2018 0

Are You Or Someone You Love Struggling With Anxiety?

"Smile, breathe, and go slowly."

~Thich Nhat Hanh

1) A Hard Dose Of Reality Could Make The Anxiety Worse. Telling someone with anxiety problems to "calm down" or "relax" does not help. This advice is not easy to do when someone is suffering from anxiety problems. People with anxiety issues are not choosing to have these problems, so using tough love does not help either. Do not tell the anxious person to "suck it up" or just face the thing that is making them anxious. This tends to heighten their anxiety level and thus makes the symptoms worse.

2) Do Not Ridicule Someone With Anxiety In An Effort To Force Them Out Of The Anxiety. Most anxious thoughts are distorted to some degree and the anxious person knows it. It does not help if you tell them that they are "being crazy". And you do not have to keep pointing their distorted thoughts out to them. So do not make fun of them or tell them their thought processes are stupid. Instead, maintain a calm demeanor in how you let them know that the distorted thoughts are not real.

3) Give Reassurance To A Point. Usually a sincere dose of reassurance is quite soothing to someone who is anxious. Reassurance should be similar to how you would reassure a child during a storm and the child is afraid. You would tell the child, "Everything is going to be okay." When the child comes back with "How do you know?" You calmly respond, "Everything is going to be okay." and the child goes back to playing.

If the need for reassurance is too exhausting, then offer to go with the anxious person to therapy. This will get the anxious person professional help and will help you step back from possibly getting dragged down by your efforts to provide help and reassurance.

"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

~Steven Hayes

4) Anxiety Problems Are Fixable. When you are struggling with anxiety, it can feel quite overwhelming and the ability to get better may seem hopeless. The good news is that with the right help, anxiety problems can be resolved. Do not give up hope. Even if you feel like you have tried everything, your problems are fixable. The secret is to keep reading, researching, trying new therapists, going to different medical specialists. The trick is to not give up and unfortunately learn to live with the anxiety problems. You and your family will adapt to the limitations created by the anxiety if you do not get help and each of you will be negatively impacted.

5) Talking Out The Anxiety Can Help. A friend or family member who has a supportive ear and a patient personality can make a huge difference. Just be careful not to exhaust them as mentioned above. A good rule of thumb is to try and have at least three people that you can talk to about your anxiety. I suggest that one of them be a therapist who is trained in treating anxiety issues. The therapist is not only a supportive ear but also a trained ear and can pick up on things that a friend or loved one may have missed. The therapist can teach skills that will stop the anxiety from ruling your life.

"You don't have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you."

~Dan Millman

6) Talking Out The Anxiety Can Make It Worse. On the flip side, by over talking about your anxieties, it can make them bigger and more overwhelming. The fears will become more vivid and real. This is how the support person usually gets exhausted in their efforts to help because no matter what is said or suggested, it is never enough. The problems just keep getting bigger and bigger. This usually leads to the anxious person becoming a recluse who is afraid to leave their house in an effort to prevent any of their fears from coming true.

7) Medication May Be Needed Whether You Like It Or Not. A lot of people balk at the suggestion of medication but are quick to say they wish they had not waited so long once they tried it. A skilled medical professional can prescribe medication that can quickly curb the symptoms that have been controlling your life and the lives of your family members who love you and watched you lose the life you once had. If you are terribly afraid of medications for whatever reason, I usually suggest to people that they at least try the proper medication for a thirty day period and just see if it works. The results are usually fast and very encouraging.\

8) Get Plenty Of Sleep And Avoid Caffeine Products. If you are experiencing anxiety, you need to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night. If you do not get the proper amount of sleep; do not try to make up for the loss of sleep with the use of caffeine products and energy drinks in order keep yourself going. These supplements can quickly exacerbate anxiety symptoms and thus create a vicious cycle in which you will get trapped in a feeling of hopelessness.

9) Use Exercise As A Stress Reliever. Exercise is very powerful in overcoming anxiety. Regular exercise will help release anxiety and at the same time will help you sleep better at night.

"Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future."

~Deepak Chopra

The Ultimate Time Management Principle

 "Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least." - Johann Wolfgang Goethe
We all have the same 24 hours in everyday, and the difference that makes the difference for each of us is how we choose to fill them. The most productive people I have ever met have not necessarily been harder working than everyone else; they just have a skill for appropriately focusing their efforts according to the time they have at their disposal.
The problem with most time management systems is that they are more concerned with generating maximum activity than they are about achieving actual objectives.
A classic example of this is the humble daily To Do list, where we jot down all the tasks that we believe need to be done that day and then re-arrange them so that they are presented in a logical sequence; the order in which we plan to tackle them. A popular approach is to get the quick and easy tasks done first so that we'll be less distracted when it comes to doing the meaty challenging jobs at the bottom of the list.
Sometimes this works fine, but more often than not we get so caught up in the little tasks (and all the other distractions that inevitably turn up, and were not on the list in the first pace) that we find ourselves under real pressure by the time we get to the bigger ones.
So, we might think that the obvious solution is to prioritise the big jobs first so that we can be confident that they will get done, and then rattle through the little ones with the time that is left.
Again, sometime this can work fine, but all too often little jobs left undone have a habit of turning into bigger problems further down the line. The fact is, no matter which way you slice it, prioritising volumes of activity against available time does not guarantee successful outcomes.
One of the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" - the work of Dr Stephen Covey - is the habit of 'Putting First Things First'. This means in order to know how you need to be spending your time you must first know the reason you are engaging in any activity in the first place.
An employee of any organisation is not paid simply to produce reports, move widgets or go to meetings. Every employee must be absolutely clear how their being there is helping that company achieve its overall mission and objectives.
The same can be said of people in general. It is usually true to say that the reason we go to work, build homes, raise families, support charities, join groups, is not just to fill the time until we leave this mortal coil. It is because we are driven by desires to make meaningful differences in the World (even if we're not always consciously aware of what that means!). We don't just go to work for going to work's sake. We go to work because it contributes to the wider, more important story of our life.
If what you spend most of your time doing is not actually aligned to some bigger purpose or moving your towards your goal, then the obvious question has to be asked - why are you doing so much of it?
Dr. Covey introduces a fantastic prioritisation tool that I have found indispensable in just about every area of my own life. Rather than launching into a flurry of activity in the hope it can all get done within a limited timeframe, the first thing to consider is the urgency of a task versus its importance.
As a simplistic measure of how I gauge this is:
Urgent = Bad things happen if I don't do it
Important = Good things happen if I do
Imagine a large square that has been equally divided into four smaller quadrants, each of them represents one of the combinations of urgency versus importance.

1, Urgent and Important

Otherwise known as crisis! It has to be addressed right now or there will be serious consequences. Being a frequent visitor to Quadrant 1 takes up A LOT of energy.
* Unpaid bills
* Angry customers (or spouses!!)
* Health problems
* Pressing deadlines
* Fire fighting

2, Not Urgent, but Important -

These are tasks that contribute to your mission, roles and goals. They don't necessarily have to be done now, but if they spend too long untouched in Quadrant 2 they can end up in Quadrant 1!!
* Learning new skills / knowledge
* Looking after your wellbeing
* Objective and goals setting
* Improving processes
* Nurturing Relationships

3, Urgent, but not Important -

Lovingly referred to as 'other people's problems'!! Of course, we want to be able to help other people because the outcome of these activities is important to them, but when we spend too much time in Quadrant 3, the things are important to us, personally, get left out in the rain.
* Ringing Phone
* Interruptions
* Non-productive meetings
* Request from others

4, Not Urgent and Not Important -

AKA 'wasting time'. There is a time and a place to waste time. At the end of a hectic day it can be just what the doctor ordered to put your feet up, turn your head off and watch some mindless TV. But if this becomes more of a habit than a meaningful use of downtime, then your life direction begins to suffer.
* Trivia
* Gossip
* Excessive TV
* Time wasters
* Re-arranging your desk for the 20th time this morning!
Dr. Covey poses the question, what one activity are you convinced that, if you were to start doing superbly and consistently well on a regular basis, would bring you significant positive rewards in your life? (Perhaps it's more dedicated quality time with loved ones, or going to the gym, or sitting down and planning for the future). Then decide which quadrant that activity sits in.
The answer is always Quadrant 2 - "Not Urgent, but Important". It has to be important if it would give you such positive rewards, and it is obviously not urgent, otherwise you would already be doing more of it!
People who spend as much time as they can in Quadrant 2 find that there is hardly ever a need to visit Quadrant 1, because they work on important issues before they become problems. But the reason so few people actually spend enough time engaging in Quadrant 2 activities is because, unlike the other quadrants, there is no built-in mechanism to say when they actually need to be done.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Homework
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take some time and decide on at least three Quadrant 2 activities that would immediately enrich your life in ways that are meaningful to you. Then schedule appointments in your diary for each of those activities to take place over the coming week. Stick to those appointments as if it is crucial for you to show up and do them. If something or someone tries to elbow their way into that time slot, politely refuse and say you're already booked up. And most importantly, enjoy yourself;o)

Metaphors Gone Wild: Cliffs and Patterns

Author Kurt Vonnegut once gave this advice to those with a creative bent: "We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down." Yes, there is risk-taking involved in exploring new territory, but how else can we developing our metaphoric wings?
Here are tips for making that exhilarating leap.

INVOLVE ALL YOUR SENSES

Not only should you enhance your receptivity to sensory input--sights, sounds, smells, taste, and feel--you can try various combinations. The late Gregory Hines, for example, once revealed that he developed tap routines by listening to the ordinary sounds coming his way as he walked down New York City streets. Nature itself is an inspiration--just ask any plein air painter. And, if you watch "Chef's Table" on Netflix, you know the culinary masters want to figure out how to make a dessert float, or how to capture the smell of spices in a pillow placed at the guest's table.
Trying expressing ideas in words not usually associated with a given sense. (You'll find metaphors coming in handy here.) For example, if you could taste anger, would it taste like salt on your tongue or vanilla ice cream. If you could feel it, would it feel like sandpaper or velvet?

EXPAND YOUR THINKING

One of the best ways to stimulate new thought is to ask "What if... " questions. For example, "What if women ruled the world?" Then, consider what the consequences of such a reality would involve. One result might be toilet seats that are more often down than up. When faced with a personal problem or a work-related one, give thought to new possibilities with questions related to the situation.

TOLERATE CONFUSION

Research has repeatedly shown that creative individuals have a higher tolerance for confusion than most of us do. When you are tempted to stop cerebral storms because you feel overwhelmed, allow the thoughts to continue bombarding each other inside your head. Being too orderly or too organized may stop us in our tracks when we should, in fact, be moving forward toward a given destination.

HAVE SELF-IMPOSED LIMITS

Just for fun, once in a while, set some limits. The heightened awareness can easily produce some surprising results. So, see how many sentences you can produce that have only five words. The first word must start with an A; the second with a B; the third with a C; the fourth, with a D; and the last word, with an E. An example might be "Any boy can develop enlightenment." The sentences don't have to be profound, but they must have no repeated words--within a given sentence and within the whole collection of sentences. If you can create 20+ sentences in a five-minute period, you have genius potential.
In a famous hiring situation, applicants were asked to work in groups to come up with 30 ways to improve a bathtub in five minutes. The second aspect of the challenge was to have one person removed from the team and to come up with 30 ways (with repeating any) to improve a bathtub in only four and a half minutes. The second list often had better ideas than the first.

PATTERN YOUR THOUGHTS ON YOURSELF

There is no one quite like you in all the world. Extend this uniqueness to the development of new concepts. Avoid the old patterns, for--as creativity guru Edward de Bono tells us: "Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns."
